This change will affect all of the “BlueSnap.com” domains, including but not limited to:

• sandbox.bluesnap.com

The New Root and Subordinate certificates issued by Sectigo have been introduced. Please make sure the following certificate is added to your local certificate store:

Root CA:Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root R46
Subordinate CA: Sectigo Public Server Authentication CA EV R36
⚠️ The certificate will be available for testing starting on BlueSnap’s Sandbox environment on Wednesday morning (ET), October 1, 2025 - You will be able to test the change on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

We strongly recommend keeping your systems and software up to date to ensure support for the latest certificates and security standards, and to avoid future service interruptions.

The new certificate introduces an update to the subordinate certificate issued by Sectigo. Please ensure that your systems include the following certificate in your local certificate store:

The update on September 21 impacted merchants running systems that were 3–4 years old and lacked the required certificate. To maintain service, the change was temporarily reverted and will be reapplied on September 29, giving affected merchants time to update their outdated endpoints.
